    What: TheNew York StateDrinking Water Quality Council (DWQC) will hold a meeting todiscuss next steps foraddressing additional emerging contaminant monitoring as set forth in legislation signed by Governor Hochul this past December, 2021.

  • March 3, 2022: NY State of Health Connects Job Seekers with Health Insurance Coverage at Job Fairs Across the State

    ALBANY, N.Y. (March 3, 2022) &ndash NY State of Health, the state's official health plan Marketplace, is providing free, onsite enrollment assistance to job seekers across the state. NY State of Health certified enrollment assistors will be available at more than 12 in-person job fairs throughout the spring to answer questions about health coverage available through the Marketplace and to schedule appointments to enroll.

    New York's 2022 Open Enrollment Period for Qualified Health Plans (QHP) will remain open for the duration of the federal public health emergency, as announced(External link) on January 14, 2022.

    "Having quality, affordable health insurance is more important than ever and NY State of Health is here to help," said NY State of Health Executive Director, Danielle Holahan. "The majority of NY State of Health enrollees qualify for free or low-cost coverage, including Qualified Health Plans with enhanced tax credit savings available under the American Rescue Plan Act. The time to enroll is now."

    New and returning consumers will continue to have many quality, low-cost health insurance options, with a choice of health plans in every county. Individuals and families may be eligible for increased financial assistance towards their health coverage costs, including higher income individuals for the first time under the American Rescue Plan(External link) that will remain available throughout 2022.

    More than 6.5 million New Yorkers are enrolled in health coverage through NY State of Health. Enrollment is currently open for all programs, including Medicaid, Essential Plan, Child Health Plus, and QHPs with and without financial assistance. March 15 is the deadline to enroll in QHP coverage beginning April 1.
